I recently received my PhD gown which was made my your company. This is the second gown I have bought from Raymond Bredin & Son. Earlier this year I also ordered a University of ... PhD gown as a graduation present for my study partner.
.................................................... I have a good knowledge of the skills required to make something - and of the added level of skills required to make a garment of high quality.
Both of the gowns I bought from your company are of excellent quality. The 'earlier' gown was simple and elegant, and the fact that you made it up and got it to me at such short notice was greatly appreciated. The 'latest' gown is really something else. I can see why you have it on display in your showroom. I'll get photos of S**** at her graduation, and mine as well, and send them on.
Obviously, doing a PhD is a long and difficult process. About one third of the way through, a friend told me about your website, and I looked it up. I printed off the order form, and pinned it above my desk. At moments when I was not sure what I was writing, or not sure if I was smart enough to finish the thesis, I would look up and see it above the screen of the laptop. It was one of my incentives to keep going, knowing that one day I would have my own gown to commemorate the three years, seven months and two weeks that I worked on the degree. The day I received notification that the thesis had been passed, I filled in the form and faxed it off.
Please pass on my thanks to the staff who worked on this. I really appreciate the level of workmanship and detail that went into both gowns, and would certainly recommend your company. Please feel free to use this testimony in any way you wish, as I am totally delighted with the garments you supplied.

Just to let you know that the gown and bonnet have arrived safely here in Canberra.
May I say how delighted I am with the standard of workmanship and the high quality of the items. I hold degrees from universities in Australia, the US and England, and as a result I have robes made in all of those countries. Yours (both past and current) are on a par with, if not superior to, with those produced overseas in both England and the US.

I hope you don't mind me troubling you with my next set of concerns. Firstly, is it possible to iron the garment? Secondly,how is the hood worn (do I attach it to the gown)?
I feel somewhat foolish asking but I'd like to do justice to the outfit . If you could point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Let me commend you on the excellent workmanship and the professional approach your company has taken to pack and mail it. I would like to suggest to Dr. A... of the A... that in future, at least for 'this country' where the postal system is unreliable - that it is better to pay more for courier than to opt orders by mail. Hi Howard
I might need to get a further set of junior barrister gowns from you again as a present. Can you kindly tell me what's the difference in terms of features between the wool, polyester/wool and polyester material used for the gowns you produced so that I can assess suitability? Please also let me have the latest dress form. I am happily wearing my wool gowns when I appear in court in Singapore.
Just to also let you know, the Senior Counsel (in Singapore) that I gave the silk gown I last bought from you has nothing but praises for it. He said it was better than the one he bought from ('a UK manufacturer') himself.
